Ninad Kiran Gaikwad

My research focuses on modeling, estimation, simulation, optimization, and intelligent control of energy systems, with particular emphasis on networked buildings and grid-edge applications. My work combines building thermal models, scientific machine learning, model predictive control, reinforcement learning, and building–grid simulation and co-simulation.

My broader experience spans residential energy resiliency, distributed energy resources, optimal power flow, distribution-system modeling and analytics, renewable-energy forecasting, and software development for power and energy systems.
